Story:
Wenxin is an architect who lives abroad. He returns to his hometown to bury his mother’s ashes. Upon arriving in his hometown, a classmate reunion delays his return as Wenxin accepts the invitation of his classmate to act as a consultant for the renovation of the old district. It seems as if he has the ability to protect the nostalgic memories of the traditional district and the opportunity to enact his "dreams" and exact "revenge". Upon attempting to complete his dreams, he finds that he cannot achieve them, and his revenge results in a new series of harm. Yin and Yang, life and death are a part of the natural law and the unity of men and nature is the true connotation of Fengshui.

Director‘s Statement:
This is a film that I was resolved to make. I majored in architecture in university, and I worked in a related field after graduation. In the context of one’s hometown, the protection of old cities, urban development in China, and the demolition and construction of buildings, the impact of these on the lives of ordinary people, extending to even life and death, has always been a theme which I wanted to write about. Yin and Yang, life and death are a part of the natural law and may not be obstructed. This film essentially meets my imagination and expresses what I intend to show. The ideas I want to express in the film are sometimes obvious and sometimes indistinct, yet they are always present.
