Guligo Jia

Guligo Jia, born in Chongqing and based in Beijing, China. As former visual journalist, she is freelance director and photographer now.She has an explorative approach to issues of gender, femininity, family and regional politics, combining the documentary film with an artistic touch. Her photography works have been exhibited in countries including France, Finland and Japan and they were selected in 2020 Paris Photo exhibition.Her short film entitled A Monologue about Home, which features the the psychological journey of a Ukrainian young man enters the DMZ documentary film festival in Korea. And in the Documentary film Flying Tigers where she contributes as cinematographer enters Berlinale Forum. And She’s in the process of making her first feature length documentary films at present.
