Story:
After sunset, the bargirl Zhang Mudou and the writer Liu Mianshan roam in the People's Park. Mianshan recounts a novel that he dedicated to his fiancée, set after the end of the world, where a boy traverse an abandoned aquarium to rescue a dying mermaid. On his way to the shore, he is unable to stop the mermaid from fading into foam and disappearing. As the story goes on, the park seems to gradually become isolated from reality, and Mianshan searches for an exit back to real life, where the clues seem to be hidden in Mudou and his fiancée’s common experiences.
