Director‘s Statement:
In early 2019, I received an invitation from artist Wang Chuyu to make a documentary with him about artistic activity. I am interested in closely observing what was really going on at the bottom of society. In Danfeng County, we filmed nearly 20 veteran workers one by one. I corrected my opponent's subjective ideas before the workers truly live their life. They use their own unique folk wisdom to balance traditional values with resistance under pressure, which is possible. That's why they would strolling along the street. This has caused continuous trouble for artists whose mind are filled with political ideas. The collaboration between those two and even the filmmaking itself were fraught with contradictions.
