Director‘s Statement
I hoped to use simple but beautiful things to render a nice feeling of appreciating music and art, then use crucial violence and killing to ruin that nice feelings, i n that way, to highlight the harmful feelings of a war and to evoke people’s anti-war attitude. I also tried to raise a question that what’s the position of art during war, it can be l uxurious but can also be worthless. I tried to avoid the “nation” the “power” the “time” and the “space” in this film, and trie to present a universal and timeless scene. I hope to address the most common and universal human natures in this fil m.
