At the end of 2019, in the Mariposa Apartment, I recorded the sound of my boyfriend and I arguing. Director‘s Statement:
Making was a challenge for me to explore both my personal emotions and the film form. It is a short film that combines documentary, drama and contemporary dance. The documentary part is an original recording I made of what happened in the Butterfly Lily Apartment, which was the starting point for the short film. Because there were so many similar recordings, in November 2019, I intentionally started to record the state of our fights. I tried to present the "irrational", "illogical" and "inhuman" behaviour of the two of us in an intimate relationship through the physical expression of modern dance, as well as the movement between the two states of behaviour, the drama and the dance, which are both normal and abnormal. In this way, we explore the occurrence, experience, cause and effect of abuse in intimate relationships.
