Story:
In southwestern Hunan where the local economy is not active, people either go to cities to work or mine the mountains. The government has been trying to regulate due to constant mining accidents, but many people still illegally mine without being safely equipped. Many years later, many miners have pneumoconiosis. The film was shot from 2010 to 2018. During the ten years, the protagonist Zhao Pinfeng has died from pneumoconiosis, leaving his children and mentally handicapped wife behind.
