Story:
The film's main character, Li Sanhua, is a scattered Taoist priest who works as a funeral site in rural Miluo, Hunan Province. The party member, 57 years old, has been a Taoist priest for 25 years, and has been a painter, a village cadre, and a scrap business. He has made it clear that what he is engaged in is superstitious activities, but he still regards himself as a materialist, and has disagreements with his peers. Through observing his life and work, it is obvious that in the countryside, feudal superstition prevails and has deep influence.
