Director‘s Statement
In 2021, I hit a yak on the Luqu highway in Gannan, the yak was passing the road when it stopped and saw the car, it rushed to run back, but by this time I could no longer brake and the yak was jacked up on the bonnet. I was in a hurry and saw that the yak was fine so I continued on my way. When I returned in the afternoon I found the yak still there and I was wondering why the yak hadn't gone back to join the herd and why I had met it. So I wrote up a short synopsis, and then I revised it again and again and came up with A story. But the night before filming started, for some reason, I completely rewrote it and came up with the current version.
