Story:
"The Old Donkey" tells the story of a 73-year-old rural man (the old donkey) who alone manages the desert near the ancestral tomb. The old donkey has three children and two daughters, but he relies on two acres of land to support his livelihood. Most of the young people in the village went out to work, leaving only the elderly, children, barren land and endless sandstorms. The county government decided to carry out land reform, so that people with farming ability can concentrate the land and mechanize the land; people without farming ability use the land to subcontract money, or go out to work, or work for the farmers. The village's richest man, Zhang Yongfu, wanted to forcibly occupy two acres of old donkey's head. The old donkey lay in the ground and guarded every day after he knew it. Soon, the old donkey's head found that his tomb was about to be buried in the desert. The land is the foundation and hope of the old donkey's head, and the ancestral grave that will be buried in the desert is his ancestors, descendants, and his own destination. Facing life and death, the old donkey's head chose to manage the desert by his father's grave all day alone. Spring is here, the old donkey's has died, and the three sons are scrambling to host a lively funeral for him ...
