Director‘s Statement:
There are nearly 200 million children with mental disabilities all over the world, accounting for 2.5% of the world's population. There are more than five million children with mental disabilities in China. However, due to the imbalance of cultural cognition and social development, many people cannot accept children with mental disabilities, which leads to many tragedies, such as abandonment. About 100 thousand children are abandoned every year in China mostly because of disabilities. Disabled children involve individuals, families, and society. Through this story, we want to arouse the attention of the whole society to disabled children, and give care, equality, and opportunity to them. In this story, a mentally retarded boy wins the love and care of two mothers who own their miserable past but rediate warmth of sunshine. The two mothers finally find their happiness through experiencing innumerable hardships displaying their intrinsic kindness.
