This documentary is set in rural China, represents the reverse urbanisation migration of a family, where a young couple returns from an urban factory to their rural hometown and manages a grocery store. Although the number of left-behind children in rural China has decreased by 10 million compared with a decade ago, it is still a huge group. For a lot of parents, China's current cheap labour market, the challenges of urban living expenses and the lack of companionship in a child's growing up make them still face the difficult choice between" leaving home" and "returning home".
