A Yangtze Landscape

Following Yang Chao, director of the 2016 feature film Crosscurrent, we traveled along the Yangtze River and witnessed the destruction of the Yangtze River under the irrational development of China today. The film shows the true face of the Yangtze River from upstream to downstream in different places such as Datong Town, Tongling City and Shanghai City. It is like enjoying a long scroll of Chinese traditional landscape painting, in which each distinct individual is the point-scene character in the painting. This Yangtze River can be said to be the clearest portrayal of China.
