来自西北农村的下岗工人永强一无所有，蜗居在废弃工厂中。他将所有的积蓄都用在病重的母亲身上，整日沉沦逃避。因为钱，永强不得不接受拆迁办驱赶钉子户的工作。然而，在与钉子户阿雪接触的过程中，永强麻木已久的情感被再次唤起，也开始重新考虑对母亲的态度……
