Director‘s Statement:
I like gangster movies, which have rare courage and uprightness in everyday life. Burned wings is a realistic version of Young and Dangerous in the Chinese mainland. This film stems from my disappointment with reality, my nostalgia of youth and my desire for violence. It is a love letter for ideals, and also an elegy for the times.
