Release Year: 2010
Story:
Homosexuals are always in an awkward position, hidden in the closet, hiding not only their sexual orientation, but also the opportunity to show others their sincerity. They are afraid of losing everything they have: family, friends, work... This estrangement keeps them self-enclosed. With locked closet doors, narrow spaces, repressed hearts, and constantly invaded territories, they are just like animals trapped in the cage. They need to be released, and they need the courage to walk out of the closet door. But whether society can be more tolerant to them, whether friends can understand them, and whether parents can accept them, such questions torture their hearts time and time again. Fortunately, there are parents around us who love us more than we think and are supporting their own children. They just like people of their own gender, and what's wrong with this? Love, there is nothing wrong! Come out of the closet, and stop closing the heavy prison door. It is not protection but imprisonment.

Director‘s Statement:
For most Chinese homosexuals, coming out of the closet is still not an easy task. In particular, the traditional concept of carrying on the family name makes the pressure from the family especially heavy. The issue can be said to be one of the biggest challenges of the living environment of gay people at present. In the process of China queer film festival tour, I recorded the joys and sorrows of many homosexuals coming out of the closet, and I would like to share them.
Coincidentally, during the film production, I was forced to come out to my family. Although it is the only way I think I must go, the process still makes me feel thrilled. I feel more truly what happened to the heroes interviewed at that time.
