Story:
Film director Zhang Hao, who was in a career slump, was about to be divorced by his wife and fellow actress Yang Xin. He asked Yang Xin to help him act in the final film called ‘Distant’ before the divorce. In the film, he conflated his life and fantasy, conflating past and future. Halfway through the screening of ‘Distant’, Zhang Hao left the Screening room alone but encountered a female journalist who had come to interview him during filming but was unsuccessful. After the conversation with the journalist, Zhang Hao found that the film screening was still going on, and the filming was also continued. He seemed unable to leave the film.
