Director‘s Statement:
Sure they are not content with what they’ve already had, and afraid of coming of the miserable state, they are just struggling. They play mahjong, stake on the MarkSix-Lottery, fight for having the abortion or not. (Remember? This is a nation of having babies as much as possible all the time.) In my opinion, they are making the last effort because of having no opportunities, but all in vain—their hopes are dashed. Then, most of them will spend the rest of their life mechanically like a walking corpse. This documentary film records and describes their struggle before their hopes are dashed.
