During the COVID-19 pandemic, many people are facing the crisis of unemployment. Due to strict prevention measures, Chinese Internet enterprises suffer heavy losses and decide to fire more than millions of programmers. And these companies use the word "Graduation" instead of "Layoff"... An ordinary programmer broke down under the huge pressure of the crucial fact and the high expectation from his mom, who believes in short videos that say programmers are all millionaires...... P.S. The main role is an actress, but you may misunderstand it. We did it on purpose. Because human is human. Gender is an unnecessary factor in this short film. Because the pressure and problem belong to all human.

Director‘s Statement:
Basically, this film focuses on unemployment fairness. But it also implies that people get hurt from the irresponsible and fragmental information, leading by short videos. Although the world is currently dominated by capital markets, “Moral” is the eternal core topic of human beings. Without moral, money is just a shameless demon, destroying human beings in both physical and mental aspects. Thus, companies shouldn’t fire employees only for economic reason. And short videos companies shouldn’t make popular but worthless junks. Most of common people need healthy and valuable directions, instead of addictive and desirable viruses. Last but not at least, we use a special protagonist in this film, without any tag, even you can’t recognize gender at the first glance. We do it on purpose and want to remind audiences that people are basically the same. Other’s plights are not far away from us. Fight for others is fighting for ourselves.
