Our production unit spent more than 10 days together with some students who were taking a formation drill during their summer vacation in Langfang City, East China’s Hebei Province in August 2002. We recorded the whole course of their training in the camp.

Director‘s Statement:
These children come from ordinary Chinese families. They are all only-child of their families. This was their first time to be away from home and live in a military training camp where is quite strange to them. In such special environment, the relationship among the students, their parents and the teachers became quite different from what it was. The environment of military camp just likes an epitome of current Chinese society.
