Yong Liao, also known as "NiBa", an independent filmmaker, has achieved remarkable success with his films. "GAGALAND" has been selected as a finalist for the Golden Tiger Award in the main competition at the 2023 Rotterdam IFF, 2023 SXSW, DMZ. Additionally, his film "This Woman" received recognition at the 2023 Real Film Festival in Switzerland, winning the Zonta WomenFilmmakers Award and the Jury Prize in the Scorching Light International
Competition. It was also selected for various international film festivals,
including DMZ, Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival, IDFA, and the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival. Short film “A Year Apart” was won the “Best Film Award” at 7th Jia’s Film Week, selected in 52nd Molodist KIFF, Beijing International Short Film Festival, and Nowness Official Selection.
