Ekaterina Kormilitsyna

Ekaterina Kormilitsyna is an interdisciplinary researcher/philosopher and artist working with media, film, technology, biotech and politics. Her work focuses on network structures and geo-mythologies in relation to materials, politics, and ethics of post- humanism and now most recently interspecies communication and interaction and the ways they relate to the topics above. Ekaterina acquired her Bachelor in Film Studies at Queen Mary, University of London (UK) and a Masters in Research from Cardiff Metropolitan University (UK) and is continuing her education at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna (AT). 2020: She was a visiting researcher at the TransTech research group at Plymouth University (UK).Since 2022: She is an artist in residence and researcher at the BioClub Tokyo and currently a researcher for the FabLab Kamakura and a part of 2023 FabAcademy cohort.
