In 1988, he graduated from the Beijing Film Academy majoring in animation director and later served as the director of CCTV Overseas Center. In 2001, he founded Beijing Longmafeng Culture Communication Co., Ltd. to engage in the independent film industry. His animated film "Wind" and the documentary "Dashu Township" participated in many international film festivals, and won the National Geographic Society EARTH WATCH Film Festival Award and the Japan International Environmental Film Festival Social Environmental Film Award. Since 1993, he has cooperated with the international mainstream television media BBC, PBS, ARD, ARTE, etc. to shoot dozens of Chinese documentaries. Since 2007, he has concurrently served as the production coordinator of CNEX Foundation and has been a producer and co-producer of many documentaries.
