Born and raised in Beijing, graduated from New York University Tisch School of the Arts with a master degree in Filmmaking. Currently works as an independent writer, director and resides in Beijing. Her works often explore subtle emotions, interpersonal connections, identity issues, coming of age, womanhood, family, loss and nostalgia and other themes.
