Joris WU Man-Chiu

WU Man-Chiu, Joris, is a Hong Kong based visual artist. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Creative Media from School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong and studied abroad at Goldsmiths, University of London, Edinburgh Napier University and Shih Hsin University in Taiwan. He focuses on filmmaking, experimental videography and photography. He is dedicated to exploring the possibilities of narratives, especially those that deal with social and political issues, dream and subconscious, film semiotics, etc. His works have been shown in Hong Kong, Taipei, Seoul, and Shanghai. During his studies, he received the Talent Development Scholarship from HKSAR in 2018 and Julian Lee Asia One Photographic Award in 2019. He was the curator of School of Creative Media Annual Show 2019 and is currently working for art organizations and filmmaking crews.
