Kazro Liu
Kazro Liu, born in 2004 in Zhaoqing, Guangdong Province, is a student at the Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts, majoring in Broadcasting. During his school years, he participated in the production of several independent short films, with documentary and experimental images as his main exploration direction. During his secondary school years, he directed the short film “Shadow”, which was selected as a finalist in the “Half Summer Memorial” secondary school students' section, and “The Way”, which won the best youth microfilm in the Asia Microfilm Association. In the undergraduate stage, he created experimental videos such as “Higher Animals”, “Me, Screen, 2024”, etc.; he successively completed a series of anthropological videos of Cangcheng in Songjiang, Shanghai; his documentary works won the third prize of provincial and ministerial level in the sixteenth Bluebridge Cup and the “Traveling Dreams of Youth - Visual Field Follows” Short Video Creation of Undergraduates; and his advertising works won three provincial prizes and one national prize in the sixteenth Dazhongguan Competition. The advertising works won three provincial awards and one national excellent award in the 16th DGAC. He was invited as a member of “Workers' New Village” video training camp of Shanghai Record Commune, and his work “You, We” was premiered in the “Vitality” exhibition of Shanghai New York ICA, and was selected as a finalist in the 25th International Student Original Film Documentary Unit.
