Rita Hui
Rita Hui is a video artist and Hong Kong independent filmmaker who teaches at the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong. For the past decade, she has been actively pursuing the possibilities of non-traditional narratives. She experiments with modes of expression other than video and storytelling. After founding the production company Rabbit Travelogue in 2007, she received funding from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council in 2009. Hui completed her first directorial effort, Dead Slowly, which was selected for the New Currents section of the 2009 Pusan International Film Festival. In 2013, her second feature film, Keening Woman, was selected for the Pusan International Film Festival. Her third feature film, Pseudo Secular, was the opening film of the 2016 South Taiwan Film Festival and was selected for the Torino Film Festival in Italy.
