Chun Wang graduated from the Journalism Department of the Communication University of China with a bachelor's degree. Then she earned her master's degree in Political Science from Waseda University in Japan. She is particularly interested in social topics and has been an independent documentary filmmaker for years. In 2014, Chun started work at Shunji Iwai's film studio and developed a strong interest in fiction production.
