WANG Yang is an independent film director, film critic, and curator. In 2007, he prepared the Youth Film Manual and is currently the executive editor. In the same year, the "Wang Yang Film Studio" was established, and the "Harvest-Film Production Group" was organized to complete the documentary "Transition-Space". His creations have participated in domestic and international film exhibitions and festivals including the October Art Exhibition of Caochangdi Studio, Pingyao International Film Festival, the Belgian Sunshine Film Festival, the French Shadows Film Festival, and the Nuremberg-Erlangen Chinese Film Festival in Germany. Completed the documentary "Sound of Silence" in 2008. The film was shortlisted for the CDFF competition of the 6th China Documentary Communication Week and participated in the 2009 Independent Bridge Festival. Completed a five-episode series of documentaries "Graduates" in 2009. Completed the documentary "China Gate" in 2011. The film was shortlisted for the International Panorama Unit of the Leipzig Documentary and Animation Film Festival in Germany, the Main Competition of the ZagrebDox International Film Festival in Croatia, and the International Main Competition of the DMZ Docs Film Festival in Korea. Nominated for a documentary award, nominated for a new director for a new film festival, nominated for a 2012 long documentary award for the Hong Kong Chinese Documentary Festival, and won the Best Film Award at the 3rd Xi'an International Folk Film Festival.
