Wang Yang is an independent film director, film critic, and curator. In 2007, he established the "Youth Film Manual" and is currently the executive editor. In the same year, the "Wang Yang Film Studio" was established, and the "Harvest-Film Production Team" was initiated to complete the documentary "Above Ground-Space". His works have participated in domestic and foreign film exhibitions including Caochangdi Studio October Art Exhibition, Pingyao International Image Exhibition, Belgian Liege Film Festival, French Shadows Film Festival, and Nuremberg-Erlangen Chinese Film Festival in Germany...
Completed the documentary "The Sound of Silence" in 2008. The film was shortlisted for the 6th China Documentary Film Exchange Week CDFF competition unit and participated in the 2009 First Covered Bridge Independent Image Festival.
In 2009, he completed the five-part documentary series "Graduate". In 2011, the documentary "China Gate" was completed. The film was shortlisted for the International Panoramic Unit of the Leipzig Documentary and Animation Film Festival in Germany, the main competition unit of the ZagrebDox International Film Festival in Croatia, and the international main competition unit of the DMZ Docs Film Festival in South Korea, and won the best of 2012 in the Frist Youth Film Festival Nominated for Documentary Award, Nominated for New Director Award at Newcomer Film Festival, Nominated for Long Documentary Award at 2012 Hong Kong Chinese Documentary Festival, and won the Best Film Award, the highest award at the Third Xi'an International Folk Film Festival.
