CHANG Chao-wei
CHANG Chao-wei, Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Master of History Institute, Tsinghua University, Master of Documentary Film from Northern Media School, UK.
He used to be the production director of Sunshine TV documentary and the chief executive of the first Sunshine Chinese Documentary Award. He is currently the production director of CNEX Foundation and deputy chairman of the Film and Television Culture Committee of Beijing International Exchange Association.
Since 1997, he has participated in the planning and production of more than 50 documentaries, TV documentaries and documentary programs, mainly as a director.
Important works include "Flying Before the Storm", "The First Part of Green Silicon Island-Historical Chronicles of Taiwan's Information and Electronics Industry", "The Way of Wealth", "Go Right, Go Left", "The Missing Left Eye", "Chen Duxiu-1879-1942" and so on.
He used to work for Singapore Operation Vision, the first communication company in Singapore to produce programs by Discovery and National Geographic Channel.
He is also a cultural critic. He is the author of "Who Sings His Own Songs Over There", "The History of Taiwan's Modern Folk Song Movement in the 1970s", "Shuttle Milan Kun", translated into "Punker's Philosophy". Articles are scattered in "Film Appreciation", China Times "Human" Supplement, Eslite Reading, Southern Electronic News, Century China, Po Weekly, Sunshine Times, Wang Pao, New Century Weekly, initium media, etc.
In 2015, he completed the anti-Japanese Air Force documentary film "The Rocking Sky" and served as director and screenwriter.
