Director‘s Statement:
The film uses the "observation method" as its main shooting technique, avoiding too much intervention by the filmmaker in the subject's life, and showing the details of Huang Chunyan's and her family's life through a gentle "gaze", conveying the texture of life. At the same time, off-camera, the filmmaker is also an experiencer of rural life. We will actively participate in her farming, autumn harvest, poultry feeding and family gatherings after work, so as to bring the subjects closer and better understand each other's lives. In addition, the film focuses on the passage of time in the present day, recounting the small but moving ups and downs of Huang Chunyan's humdrum life through the changing seasons and festivals. At the same time, the film also incorporates Huang Chunyan's memories of the past, as well as images of her Everest climb, in order to present a multifaceted and multilayered view of time and space and to expand the depth of her character.
