Yang Lina's films focus on the individual's life track and identity in the changing times and the passage of time. History and the present, forgetting and forgiving, aging and rebirth... Seemingly contradictory life experiences are integrated and symbiosis in her creation system. From the independent documentary to the female trilogy, Yang has always been rooted in the complex and contradictory reality context, exploring the hidden but moving aspects of human nature. She photographed women, narrating women's multiple identities and inner journey from multiple angles and in an all-round way, showing women's plight, pain, struggle, bravery and tenderness. She photographed the old man, the one-armed boy, the girl on horseback, showing their unyielding and tenacious life force. Her creation always has critical thinking, using images to bring problems to the audience to think. From her first work, "Old Men", to his latest, "Song of Spring" How does history affect the individual? And how do people calmly face aging with the passage of time, and reconcile with the past in the change of times?
