Director‘s Statement:
I used to learn cello and dreamed of being Yoyo Ma. When I was 26 years old, I met a Japanese girl who played the violin and soon married her. From her, I understand what "talent" is... So, forget it, don't play the violin. When I was in college, I got into a movie. I met Huang Jiazheng for the first time in 2002. He was 11 years old and performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1 with a Czech orchestra. I just like listening to him, it's charming. I have been listening and heard that he is now 17 years old. I envy him, he is a genius. But sometimes he is not happy.
Everything is bitter. It's hard to be a human; it's hard to live among all beings; it's hard to be an outstanding genius in society... it's even harder.
Su Dongpo sighed and said, "Everyone has children and hopes to be clever", but who doesn't want to be like the dragon mentioned by Cao Cao in The Romance of the Three Kingdoms, "throwing out the clouds and flying in the universe"?
People-all people, because "I am born to be useful"-pull and pull in this contradiction, looking for our dreams and hopes.
