Wearing the costume of a traditional Chinese goddess — Chang’e — XIAOXIANG CHANG hands out leaflets in a store. However, she has nothing in common with the goddess in whose costume she is. She's a 55-year-old operator in a local punching machine factory, and her husband has been away from home for a long time. She lives with her son, an old bachelor who writes fantasy novels for a living. This day, the next door neighbor died. In the “Zaku" — a local death ceremony — Xiaoxiang meets the man who makes a living by arranging the Zaku Ceremony. Their hearts start to inch closer toward each other. But her "infidelity" seems to bring the consequences of nightmares. Later, the man leaves.
