Story:
In 1946, when Peter Foo was two years old, his father vanished. Fifty years later, a British Home Office document was made public and the operation of 'compulsory repatriation of undesirable Chinese seamen at Liverpool' surfaced. Peter discovered that his father was a Chinese sailor who had been employed by the British merchant navy during World War II. In 1946, the British government secretly expelled almost all Chinese sailors from Liverpool. Nearly 20,000 Chinese sailors were deported, and none of their family were told. For the past 15 years, Peter has continued to protest, demanding that the British government apologize for this crime. After this long and fruitless struggle, a great sense of emptiness ruined his life.
