Restrospective: Chinese independent films in IFFR
International Film Festival Rotterdam (Referred to as: IFFR) is a film festival held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands at the end of January each year.
The highest prize in the competition unit is The Tiger Award.
Rotterdam has quite a connection with Chinese-language films. It is worth mentioning that the Chinese films "Mirrors and Feathers", "Present Perfect" and "The Cloud in Her Room" won The Tiger Award for three consecutive years in 2018, 2019, and 2020.
The 50th Rotterdam Film Festival in 2021 will be held online.
At the same time, more than ten Chinese films that have been shortlisted in various units will also be screened at CathayPlay, including "LOVE CONQUERS ALL" and "Flower in the Pocket" win The Tiger Award.
