Grace Hsia
Grace Hsia is an independent screenwriter and director based in Beijing, China. She is a documentary course speaker at the Chinese University of Hongkong and in Shenzhen, as well as a lecturer for LUMIX. Being a drifter and devoted storyteller since 2014, she started her career with a Changsha documentary trilogy and worked as a documentary director at Enlight Picture, one of the top three film companies in China. Grace’s films provide an insightful view into multiple layers and often conflicting aspects of characters and society. Combining a fresh visual style with dynamic characters, she investigates shifting boundaries between fact and fiction and produces stories that are moving and eye-opening.
