Peng Fei
Peng Fei
Pengfei was born into a family of Peking Opera performers in 1982. He graduated from Institut International de l’Image et du Son after eight years of studying filmmaking. From 2008, he worked as the assistant director to TSAI Ming-liang (FACE and STRAY DOGS). His debut feature UNDERGROUND FRAGRANCE premiered at Venice Days in 2015 and won the FEDEORA Award for Best Film. His second feature THE TASTE OF RICE FLOWER, played at Venice Days again in 2017.
