Rita Andreetti was born in Ferrara, Italy, in 1982. There, she directed more than ten shorts, screened all over the world. Realizing the promotion of indie filmmaking as the most essential boost for beginner filmmakers, she founded Cronos Film and the indie film magazine Indipendenti dal cinema (www.indipendentidalcinema.it).
In 2012 she moved to Nanjing, China. Here she has written about Asian cinema for the magazine Taxidrivers. it, Farefilm.it and Saporedicina.com. She is an active supporter of Chinese indie filmmaking too, through the China Independent Film Festival and new creative film projects.
“The Observer” is her first feature film.
