Wang Jiacheng, a graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts, is a director, painter, visual artist, composer, and screenwriter. Her works are distinguished by profound empathy and groundbreaking narrative structures—like a sword both gentle and searing, they strike audiences with poignant yet tender resonance. Jiacheng’s art seeks to capture the depths of the human psyche through kaleidoscopic visuals and intricate character dynamics. Infused with a strong yet compassionate female perspective, she crafts visual landscapes with raw melodies and boundless empathy, weaving fluid magic that transcends scars on an emotional canvas.
As a pioneering cross-media artist, Jiacheng’s films wield the language of “truth,” transforming fleeting perceptions into tangible cathartic experiences. She is a three-time recipient of full scholarships from the USC School of Cinematic Arts and served as accredited president of the Annenberg Film Marketing Association (AFMA) for USC’s Chinese-language cinema community. Jiacheng curated the 10th North American Youth Film Festival and has worked as a director, assistant director (features/shorts), and executive director (on-set) for projects globally. Her credits include directing documentaries for Tencent, NetEase, Sohu, iQiyi, and Weibo’s 2017 cross-strait campaign, and serving as creative advertising director for the Los Angeles Institute of Architecture & Design.
